Patience
Great macadamias can't be rushed. We let our trees mature and our flavours develop in their own time.
Zera Macadamias began with a simple belief: that South Africa's sun-warmed orchards could produce some of the finest macadamias in the world, if grown with patience and heart.

Our roots run deep in the Mpumalangaheartland, a region whose warm days, cool nights and rich soils make it one of the world's great places to grow macadamias.
What started as a handful of young trees has grown, season by season, into orchards tended by the same family who planted them. We learned the land's rhythms the slow way, and that patience is now woven into everything that carries the Zera name.
Today we grow, crack and hand-finish premium macadamias for retail, gifting and export, without ever losing the family-farm soul we started with.
Four principles shape how we farm, how we work and how we treat the people and land around us.
Great macadamias can't be rushed. We let our trees mature and our flavours develop in their own time.
Every kernel passes through caring hands. We treat our nuts, and the people who grow them, with respect.
We farm for the long term, leaving the soil, water and orchards healthier than we found them.
From grading to packing, we hold a standard worthy of the world's most discerning tables.
The South African macadamia belt stretches across the warm, sub-tropical northeast, a landscape made for this remarkable tree.
Warm, sub-tropical days and mild nights that coax out deep, buttery flavour.
Deep, well-drained soils rich enough to nourish trees for generations.
Skilled local growers and pickers whose knowledge is the orchard's heartbeat.

“We don't just grow macadamias. We grow them the way the land asks us to: slowly, honestly, and with the next generation in mind.”
